His three hits all left the bat at 106-108 mph, with the homer traveling a projected 430 feet to right. Abreu seems poised to be an All-Star as a sophomore. He’s tied for third in the AL in homers, tied for seventh with his 26 RBI and he’s fourth with his .931 OPS.

The unearned run was his own fault, as he tried to go to third on a sac bunt and threw the ball through Alex Bregman, allowing the runner to come around to score. He still had two on with none out after that play, but he escaped the jam by retiring Jonathan India, Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino in order. Giolito’s velocity was far better today after a poor showing last week; he averaged 94.0 mph with his fastball, compared to 91.6 mph in the loss to the Rangers. He was at 93.2 mph in his season debut Apr. 30. We’d like to see more consistency before trusting him in mixed leagues, but today’s outing was quite encouraging.

Chapman had to work around a Billy Hamilton error that put a man on first, but he was able to do so, even as he went without a strikeout for just the second time in 16 appearances this season. He has a 1.88 ERA, and he’s yet to blow a save.

Lee moved over to shortstop for Sunday’s with Carlos Correa scratched from the lineup. The 24-year-old infielder was a big part of the Twins’ comeback victory against the Giants on Sunday. Lee’s two-run home run in the fourth inning cut the Twins deficit to 3-2 and he scored the winning run in extra innings. Lee is hitting .253 with nine RBI and a .703 OPS on the season.

Hayes has had a solid month, going 24-for-79 (.304) with hits in 17 of 20 games since April 19th. He hasn’t been hitting for any power and has scored only one run in that span despite hitting mostly leadoff for the Pirates, so therein lies the issue with his fantasy value. Still, that batting average and four steals on the season can be worthwhile in deeper formats.

Jung took a fifth-inning pitch from Beau Brieske and hit it 392 feet at 107.4 mph for his fifth home run of the season. He also struck out twice, which has been a bit of an issue for him, and the 27-year-old is just 7-for-35 (.200) so far in May. With Jake Burger rumored to be on his way back to the big leagues, Jung will need to keep hitting to prevent himself from losing some starts to Josh Smith.
