It’s a routine day off for Hays as the Reds manage his workload shortly after coming off the injured list. The 29-year-old outfielder went 1-for-4 on Friday in his return to Cincinnati’s lineup following a nearly two-week absence recovering from a hamstring strain.

Petty gave up six hits, walked six and struck out four. His ERA is up to 21.94 after two starts. While Petty posses strikeout upside based on his Triple-A performance, he’s not getting enough outs in general for it to matter at the big league level right now. He’s best left on fantasy benches until he figures it out. Petty is lined up to face the Guardians at home next weekend if he remains in the rotation.

The Reds scored 10 runs in the first and then held on for dear life as the Astros did their best to come back. The five times on base raised Friedl’s OBP to .360, and he’s scored 23 runs in 38 games. He’ll be a fine choice in mixed leagues next week with the Reds home for six games against the White Sox and Guardians.

A stunning outing from Singer, who had been nothing but solid through six weeks with the Reds. He hadn’t allowed more than three earned runs in any of his seven starts coming into this one. The Astros got to him for nine hits, with six of those coming in the six-run third inning. It cost Singer what should have been the easiest win of his life, and his ERA jumped from 3.66 to 4.97. He’ll face the Guardians next.

Rice’s homer off Mitch Spence made it a 10-1 game in the fifth. It was his first homer since he hit two on Apr. 29 and ninth overall. He’s been losing the occasional start because of the desire to include Trent Grisham in the Yankees lineup, but he should retain mixed-league value at least until Giancarlo Stanton returns.

The 23-year-old superstar shortstop led off the game with a double to center off of Tyler Anderson and scored on Adley Rutschman’s triple that Taylor Ward lost in the sun. Henderson then capped off a four-run uprising in the sixth inning with a 386-foot (104.7 mph EV) two-run shot off of Connor Brogdon that extended the Orioles’ advantage to 7-2. With his two-hit effort, Henderson is now hitting .264/.307/.473 with five homers, nine RBI and three stolen bases in his first 32 games on the season.

Yelich’s home run was his seventh of the year and it tied the score at one in the fourth inning. The 33-year-old outfielder is hitting just .208 with a .678 OPS this year, though he does have seven home runs, 26 RBI and eight stolen bases. Fantasy managers have to hang tight with Yelich and hope he turns his average around while providing solid numbers in the other categories.
