    Ben Williamson

    SEA • 3B • #

Ben Williamson drove in four runs in the Mariners’ rout of the Marlins on Saturday.

Williamson continues to impress, and he has a new career-high in RBI with the four Saturday evening. The pair of hits now has him slashing .310/.356/.429 on the year, and he’s been excellent with the glove as expected. He doesn’t have much power, but Williamson’s bat-to-ball skills make him someone to keep an eye on in formats with a shallower pool.

    Dylan Moore

    Recap

Dylan Moore went 1-for-3 and swatted a solo home run on Sunday, accounting for all of the Mariners’ offense in a loss to the Blue Jays.

The versatile 32-year-old victimized Blue Jays’ starter José Ureña for a 403-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot to lead off the third inning. That would be the only run that the Mariners could muster in the ballgame. Moore has been terrific when he has been on the field for the M’s this season, slashing a healthy .282/.330/.553 to go along with seven homers, 12 RBI and seven stolen bases (11 attempts). He’s worth a look in any and all mixed leagues where he may still be hanging around on the waiver wire.

    Recap

Bryce Miller was lit up for seven runs on eight hits over five-plus innings of work in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon.

Miller also issued a pair of walks on the day while punching out three. He had allowed just one run — an RBI single to Myles Straw in the second — through his first three innings of work, but the wheels fell off for him after that. The big blow against him was a three-run blast off the bat of George Springer in the fifth inning. Miller then returned for the sixth where he allowed a walk and a single before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and both inherited runners ultimately scored. The 26-year-old righty generated 10 whiffs on 92 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his 5.22 ERA and 1.54 WHIP when he squares off against the Padres in San Diego on Saturday.

Luis Castillo gave up five runs in five innings while being credited with a loss Friday to the Blue Jays.

Castillo gave up two runs in the first after issuing a couple of free passes, and he allowed three in the third; two of those on a homer by Nathan Lukes. It’s a disappointing outing after Castillo was so good in his last two contests with just one run allowed over 12 innings, but he was at least able to keep Toronto off the board over the final two frames. The 32-year-old will get the Yankees on Wednesday.

    Recap

Brooks Lee went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a two-run home run against the Giants on Sunday.

Lee moved over to shortstop for Sunday’s with Carlos Correa scratched from the lineup. The 24-year-old infielder was a big part of the Twins’ comeback victory against the Giants on Sunday. Lee’s two-run home run in the fourth inning cut the Twins deficit to 3-2 and he scored the winning run in extra innings. Lee is hitting .253 with nine RBI and a .703 OPS on the season.

    Recap

Ke’Bryan Hayes went 2-for-5 with a steal and a run scored in a win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Hayes has had a solid month, going 24-for-79 (.304) with hits in 17 of 20 games since April 19th. He hasn’t been hitting for any power and has scored only one run in that span despite hitting mostly leadoff for the Pirates, so therein lies the issue with his fantasy value. Still, that batting average and four steals on the season can be worthwhile in deeper formats.

    Recap

Josh Jung went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-1 win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Jung took a fifth-inning pitch from Beau Brieske and hit it 392 feet at 107.4 mph for his fifth home run of the season. He also struck out twice, which has been a bit of an issue for him, and the 27-year-old is just 7-for-35 (.200) so far in May. With Jake Burger rumored to be on his way back to the big leagues, Jung will need to keep hitting to prevent himself from losing some starts to Josh Smith.
