Marsh fell to 4-for-37 for the season, but there’s not really much for the Phillies to do besides wait out the slump. He was in the lineup today even through the Phillies were facing a lefty in Matthew Liberatore. That might happen less often once Weston Wilson returns.

It’s the fourth straight start in which Wheeler has allowed exactly two runs and, dating back to last year, the 10th in a row in which he’s given up precisely one homer (Yandy Díaz came through against him tonight). Wheeler will take a 3-1 record and a 3.35 ERA into his next start Sunday against Cleveland. We’ll guess that Kyle Manzardo delivers the homer in that one.

Schwarber has five homers and 10 RBI in his last seven games. Tonight’s homer was the 296th of his career, moving him past Chris Davis for 166th on the all-time list. With his next, he’ll match Rickey Henderson, something he’s obviously been preparing for with the big uptick in his steal rate this year.

Taveras will be making his Seattle debut against Gunnar Hoglund and the Athletics in the series finale. The 26-year-old has occasionally flashed offensive upside, but while he will get playing time against right-handed pitching, his chances of being a fantasy-relevant player seem slim based on his struggles the last year-plus.
