It’ll be rookie Isaac Collins, who connected for his first big-league homer on Tuesday night, taking over at the keystone in his absence. Turang might need a couple days to rest and recover before getting back into Milwaukee’s lineup. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Evan in a month where Contreras didn’t exactly live up to his lofty expectations, the approach never changed. With two free passes, he’s drawn two walks in back-to-back games, and his on-base percentage is a very healthy .376 over the first 30 games of 2025. He’s also hit a decent .260 in that timeframe, but fantasy managers are still waiting to see some pop from Contreras on a more consistent basis with just three five -base hits over 107 at-bats. The pop should start showing up, as he’s far too talented a hitter to be slugging just .365 for much longer.

Megill allowed a hit and a walk to put the winning run at the plate, but he was able to escape without giving up a run. The 31-year-old struck out two, and lowered his ERA to a still-disappointing 4.32 while procuring his third save of the season. He should remain the closer as long as the results don’t implode, but there are other options in the Milwaukee bullpen.

Myers walked two and threw 28-of-49 pitches for strikes. Both runs came in the second inning, as he gave up an RBI single and then hit a batter with the bases loaded; with two of those runners reaching via walk. There’s been no word of an injury just yet, but it’s worth noting that this was just his second start since returning from the injured list. Assuming good health, Myers will try and get back on track Monday against the Astros.

The Mets called on Waddell for the spot-appearance as they’re in the midst of a 26 games in 27 days stretch and he performed as well as anyone could have hoped. He followed opener Huascar Brazobán the funky, left-handed Waddell was lethal over his 60-pitch outing. He retired the final eight batters he faced and forced a swing-and-miss with all five of his pitches. Those five pitches all got some real use too, as he threw each at least 12% of the time and he looked passable as a spot-starter.

Rivas figures to be a lineup fixture in Seattle for the near future. He’s yet to pick up an extra-base hit, but he’s 11-for-30 with nine walks, giving him a .513 OBP. He’s also 3-for-3 stealing bases.
