All three of his hits were singles, but we’ll take it. Reynolds picked up seven hits in the three-game series against the Guardians and is now hitting .244/.310/.389 on the season. The 30-year-old has been one of the most consistent hitters in baseball over the last three seasons, and we see no reason to doubt that he will finish the year hitting around .265-.270 with 25 home runs while hitting second in a mediocre Pirates lineup.

Bart should have been 3-for-5. With runners on second and third and one out in the ninth inning, he laced a groundball in the hole at short that Nick Allen had to dive to stop. With the game on the line, Allen got up and threw home, too late to get the runner, but the official scoring ruled it a fielder’s choice, even though there was little chance Allen would have even thrown Bart out at first base. Still, Bart is hitting .291/.411/.379 on the season with 10 RBI and has been a rock-solid option in two-catcher leagues this year.

Hayes has had a solid month, going 24-for-79 (.304) with hits in 17 of 20 games since April 19th. He hasn’t been hitting for any power and has scored only one run in that span despite hitting mostly leadoff for the Pirates, so therein lies the issue with his fantasy value. Still, that batting average and four steals on the season can be worthwhile in deeper formats.

Santana was brought in to face the bottom three hitters in Atlanta’s order in a tie game in the ninth inning and earned a win when the Pirates walked it off in the bottom of the inning. Santana has now pitched the ninth inning three days in a row after the Pirates made a managerial change. None of those appearances were against the middle of the order; that role has gone to David Bednar, but it’s clear that Santana will be in a position to pick up a few wins and saves even if Bednar keeps that high-leverage role.

Rice’s homer off Mitch Spence made it a 10-1 game in the fifth. It was his first homer since he hit two on Apr. 29 and ninth overall. He’s been losing the occasional start because of the desire to include Trent Grisham in the Yankees lineup, but he should retain mixed-league value at least until Giancarlo Stanton returns.

The 23-year-old superstar shortstop led off the game with a double to center off of Tyler Anderson and scored on Adley Rutschman’s triple that Taylor Ward lost in the sun. Henderson then capped off a four-run uprising in the sixth inning with a 386-foot (104.7 mph EV) two-run shot off of Connor Brogdon that extended the Orioles’ advantage to 7-2. With his two-hit effort, Henderson is now hitting .264/.307/.473 with five homers, nine RBI and three stolen bases in his first 32 games on the season.

Yelich’s home run was his seventh of the year and it tied the score at one in the fourth inning. The 33-year-old outfielder is hitting just .208 with a .678 OPS this year, though he does have seven home runs, 26 RBI and eight stolen bases. Fantasy managers have to hang tight with Yelich and hope he turns his average around while providing solid numbers in the other categories.
