Vázquez took a foul tip off his right hand and was immediately lifted from the contest. He’ll undergo X-rays to determine whether he suffered any fractures. There should be an update on his status in the near future.

Lee put Minnesota on the scoreboard with an eighth-inning solo shot off reliever Hunter Gaddis. The 24-year-old former top prospect figures to continue playing regularly between second and third base until Willi Castro (oblique) is ready to return from the injured list.

López carried a shutout into the seventh inning before the Guardians finally broke through when he launched an ill-advised throw down the first-base line on Carlos Santana’s infield single, which allowed José Ramírez to scamper home on the play. He was charged with an additional run when Brock Stewart coughed up a three-run homer following his departure. He struck out six and didn’t hand out a free pass, but was still saddled with a loss in this one. He’ll bring a sparkling 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 26/4 K/BB ratio across 28 innings (five starts) into a home matchup on Tuesday against the Orioles.

Ober struck out only two, but he generated a ton of soft contact — the average EV of the whopping 29 balls in play against him was 82 mph — and walked no one in the 102-pitch outing. This still wasn’t Ober at his best, and he’s probably not going to get back to being especially helpful in mixed leagues unless he regains some velocity. Still, he’s not entirely without value right now. He’ll take a 3-1 record and a 4.13 ERA into Boston for his start Saturday.

Evan in a month where Contreras didn’t exactly live up to his lofty expectations, the approach never changed. With two free passes, he’s drawn two walks in back-to-back games, and his on-base percentage is a very healthy .376 over the first 30 games of 2025. He’s also hit a decent .260 in that timeframe, but fantasy managers are still waiting to see some pop from Contreras on a more consistent basis with just three five -base hits over 107 at-bats. The pop should start showing up, as he’s far too talented a hitter to be slugging just .365 for much longer.

Realmuto had not homered since April 15, but the 34-year-old backstop took Eduardo Salazar deep to extend the Phillies lead to 7-2. He also singled to improve his slash to a still-shaky .237/.308/.361 over the first 30 games of the 2025 campaign. If not for the positional value, Realmuto would be unplayable. Because he’s a catcher, you can probably do worse. Weird how that works.

Naylor gave the Guardians a commanding four-run lead with his seventh-inning no-doubter to right field against Twins reliever Brock Stewart. The 25-year-old backstop has homered in back-to-back games and is up to four round-trippers on the season.
