Norby figures to only require a handful of additional rehab games to get back up to speed before returning to Miami’s lineup after opening the year on the shelf with an oblique strain. Barring something unexpected, he should be ready to return at some point next week.

After Dustin May left the game, Myers came on to hit for Matt Mervis off southpaw Anthony Banda, and he slaughtered a ball over the center-field fence to turn a 5-1 deficit into a 5-5 game. He also singled, and he improved his slash to a strong — and totally unsustainable — .315/.327/.463. He does appear to see the ball pretty well against southpaws, however.

This went exactly how it was supposed to go, with all due respect to Cabrera. The right-hander threw just 57-of-97 pitches for strikes, and gave up runs in four of his five innings he pitched in. That sees his ERA rise to 7.23, while two strikeouts and three walks push his K/BB to 20/11 over four starts and 18 2/3 innings. He’ll try and improve those numbers next weekend against the Athletics.

Ramírez has been the talk of the fantasy baseball universe since arriving in the majors last week, hitting .474 (9-for-19) with three homers, five RBI and one steal through his first five games. The 23-year-old has some legitimate defensive concerns, but he’s one of the most advanced hitters of any catching prospect in the game and possesses uncommon stolen base prowess for a below-average runner. He’s rostered in all fantasy formats at this juncture and should remain a middle-of-the-order run producer in the heart of Miami’s lineup.

Arenado was responsible for the Cardinals’ lone run of the contest when he lifted a run-scoring double off the left-field wall in the opening frame. The 34-year-old third baseman’s long-term future remains up in the air since it remains a realistic possibility he’s moved to a contender in the coming months. He’s off to a decent start this season, batting .255 with three homers, 13 RBI and one steal through 27 games.

Vientos’s homer came on a 65-mph fastball from Amed Rosario in the ninth. Mets fans were actually rooting against it, since it denied Brandon Nimmo the chance of coming up with multiple men on base to add to his total of nine RBI. It was Vientos’s third homer in 109 plate appearances this season. His numbers are on the way up — he’s hitting .320 in his last 13 games — but he’s still not really crushing the ball, at least against actual major league pitchers, like he did last year.

Jung is back at third base and batting sixth for Monday’s series opener at Globe Life Field following an early exit from Sunday’s showdown against the Giants with a right finger laceration. The fact that he’s already back in the lineup seems to indicate that the Rangers aren’t too concerned, which has to give fantasy managers confidence ahead of weekly lineup locks.
