Lindor scored three times for the first time this year. Typically, when April stats are added up, they include the few March games commonly played these days. Lindor, though, is hitting .311 with three homers in April alone after going 0-for-11 in the Mets’ first series of the season. He’s at .271 overall.

Lindor homered off Porter Hodge to break a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning. It was his ninth home run and 26th RBI of the year. He has been well worth his late-first, early-second-round draft price so far this season.

Vientos needed this one. With Brett Baty back up from Triple-A and hitting well, Vientos needed to incentivize the Mets to keep him in the lineup. He responded with his fifth home run and 17th RBI of the season. Vientos has continued to show strong plate discipline metrics all year and is getting good pitches to hit, but is simply not executing. With Luisangel Acuna also playing well and capable of playing third base, Vientos needs to take advantage of the favorable counts he’s been getting himself into if he wants to keep a full-time job.

For those of you waiting for Canning to implode, you might be waiting a while. The 29-year-old struck out five and walked just one on the day, with his only run coming on a home run by Pete Crow-Armstrong. While Canning has had tons of success pitching backwards this season, he used his four-seam fastball more than any other pitch on the day, and it was his changeup that stole the show with a 45 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. Leaning into secondary pitches has been really beneficial for Canning, who has a 2.36 ERA on the season. He may be a risky start next week against the Yankees, but it’s hard to bench him right now.

Betts put the exclamation point on the victory for the Dodgers with a first-pitch, 393-foot (101.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Jose Castillo in the ninth inning. With his three-hit attack, the dynamic 32-year-old shortstop is now slashing .272/.351/.435 with six homers, 24 RBI and three stolen bases on the season.

Edwards can be difficult to evaluate from a fantasy perspective. On one hand, he’s scored 18 runs and has 11 stolen bases this season, which is what his fantasy managers were looking for from him when they drafted him. He also has 11 RBI. On the other hand, he’s hitting just .259 with no power whatsoever. Edwards now has just one home run and a .066 ISO 139 career MLB games. Speed is certainly important in fantasy and Edwards could push for 50 steals this year, but his .328 average in 70 games last year looks like a fluke and he might just be a one or two category player this year.

Rogers will remain stationed in the minors after wrapping up his rehabilitation process from a right knee subluxation that he suffered back in spring training. He’ll be an option for Baltimore’s starting rotation at some point down the line, if needed, but he’s going to remain at Triple-A for now.
