There have been no mentions of any physical issues that Adell is dealing with, so we’re assuming it’s just a regular day of rest for the 26-year-old slugger. Kyren Paris will move to center field to cover for him while Luis Rengifo slides over to second base and J.D. Davis will get an opportunity at the hot corner. For those tracking at home, that will be the fifth game in the outfield this season for Paris as he works towards eligibility there for fantasy purposes.

Jansen was feeling under the weather and was unavailable on Tuesday night. The Angels were fortunate that a save situation didn’t arise during that contest. It sounds like the 37-year-old veteran stopper will be ready to answer the bell, if needed, during Wednesday’s showdown in Los Angeles. It would most likely be Ryan Zeferjahn filling in, if needed, in the event that Jansen can’t go.

It’ll be veteran slugger Jorge Soler making a rare appearance in right field on Wednesday night after Campero was lifted from Tuesday’s contest with left ankle irritation. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern at the moment. He’s presumably available off the bench, if needed, in an emergency situation.

Toussaint went unclaimed on waivers after being removed from Los Angeles’ 40-man roster prior to Tuesday’s game against the Blue Jays. The 28-year-old righty made just one relief appearance during his brief stint with the club. He figures to stick around as extra organizational relief depth.

Buxton gave the Twins a 3-1 lead with a three-run blast in the third inning. He’s now homered in three straight games, and that homer along with a single now has him hitting .274/.306/.541 with nine roundtrippers over 37 games. As long as Buxton is healthy, he’s capable of major fantasy fireworks.

Taveras will be making his Seattle debut against Gunnar Hoglund and the Athletics in the series finale. The 26-year-old has occasionally flashed offensive upside, but while he will get playing time against right-handed pitching, his chances of being a fantasy-relevant player seem slim based on his struggles the last year-plus.

Rodríguez put the Mariners on the board early with solo homer off Jeffrey Springs in the first inning. He added a base hit in the third inning and was hit by a pitch in the seventh. Rodríguez reached for a fourth time with a single in the ninth and scored on a base hit by Cal Raleigh. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting .221/.323/.407 with six homers, 25 runs scored, and five steals across 161 plate appearances.
