Ramírez put Cleveland on the scoreboard with a run-scoring single to right field in the opening frame. He also picked up his fifth steal of the year a little later in the inning. The 32-year-old fantasy superstar has shown zero signs of slowing down as a consistent all-around contributor.

Noel entered the day with a .167/.200/.190 line in 45 plate appearances, which is why he’s only been playing a lefties. The Guardians could give him time over the struggling Carlos Santana if they want to get him going, but we’re not optimistic it will happen. The club isn’t slated to face any lefties for at least a week, so it could be right back to the bench for Noel.

Mission accomplished for the Guardians if their primary goal was to build some confidence for Clase, who has gotten off to an abysmal start this season, and has also been experiencing shoulder discomfort. The 27-year-old righty got the call to work a lower-leverage frame against the lower third of Boston’s lineup, with the Guardians leading by one run at the time, and needed just 14 pitches (nine strikes) to hurl a flawless inning. He should get back into the mix for saves shortly, but Cade Smith has proven capable at handling the role, if needed.

Smith was summoned to protect a one-run lead in the final frame after Emmanuel Clase, who has been dealing with shoulder discomfort recently, tossed a perfect eighth. He immediately got into trouble by coughing up a leadoff single to Ceddanne Rafaela and walking Jarren Duran, which put the potential tying run in scoring position. He managed to retire Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman on harmless fly outs before striking out Trevor Story to preserve the victory. The 25-year-old should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this juncture.

McMahon will be out of the lineup for the first time in 2025. The 30-year-old has scuffled mightily with a .528 OPS to begin the campaign, and the Rockies will give him a chance to reset in the series finale against Cincinnati. McMahon has had ups and downs throughout his career, and he’s a great bounceback candidate in the coming weeks.

Maybe the Orioles’ second-best player to date, Urías is batting .340/.403/.434 in 62 plate appearances, and he’s stealing away Ryan Mountcastle’s playing time against righties. He probably doesn’t have any mixed-league value himself — he’s a zero in steals and he doesn’t typically hit for average — but he’s making an impact by cutting into the value of others.

Loáisiga is at least a couple weeks away from making it back to New York’s beleaguered relief corps after missing nearly all of last year recovering from flexor tendon surgery. The 30-year-old righty has plenty of high-leverage experience, so he’ll provide a lift for the Yankees once he’s back.
