    Ketel Marte

    Ketel Marte

Ketel Marte hit a solo homer in a win Thursday for the Diamondbacks over the Dodgers.

That’s the first homer of the season for Marte, but it’s worth pointing out it was only the 31-year-old’s 15th game because of his hamstring issue. The veteran infielder has been one of the best second baseman in baseball, and the balls should start going consistently over the fence now that he’s healthy.

    Recap

Gabriel Moreno went 3-for-4 with a grand slam in a 5-4 win for the Diamondbacks on Thursday over the Dodgers.

Moreno opened the scoring in a big way with a bases-loaded roundtripper off Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The 25-year-old missed one game and came off the bench in another earlier this week with side discomfort, but looked plenty comfortable while having easily his best offensive game of the 2025 season. Moreno was awful in April, and fantasy managers can hope this is the start of the backstop playing up to his abilities.

    Recap

Kevin Ginkel allowed a solo homer but still was able to pick up a save Thursday against the Dodgers.

Ginkel gave up a bomb to Shohei Ohtani, but it came with the Diamondbacks holding a 5-2 lead. The right-hander didn’t allow another hit, and picked up his first save of the 2025 season. It probably won’t be his last, but Ginkel is a tough sell from a fantasy perspective as what essentially amounts to a committee with Shelby Miller., who did not pitch tonight. The same can be said for all of the Arizona relievers with Justin Martinez and A.J. Puk out of action.

    Recap

Brandon Pfaadt worked 6 1/3 scoreless innings while getting a win Thursday over the Dodgeres.

Pfaadt struck out six, and allowed four hits and three walks in a very strong outing against the tough Los Angeles lineup. The right-hander was coming off a disappointing outing against the Phillies where he allowed six earned runs, and bounced back quite nicely. Pfaadt now has an aesthetically-pleasing 3.28 ERA on the season, and can lower it further with a quality outing against the Giants on Tuesday.

With his two-hit attack, the 27-year-old infielder is now hitting .277/.340/.415 with three homers, 20 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.

Gleyber Torres delivered a bases-clearing double in the third inning on Thursday night, propelling the Tigers to an 11-1 victory over the Rockies and to a sweep of their three-game series.

Torres three-run double off of Tanner Gordon broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Tigers a lead they would never relinquish. It was his only hit in five at-bats on the evening. The 28-year-old infielder has been outstanding so far for the Tigers, slashing a healthy .290/.348/.460 with four homers, 20 RBI and four stolen bases through his first 25 games.

    Recap

Colt Keith crushed the longest home run of his career on Thursday night as the Tigers clobbered the Rockies at Coors Field.

The 23-year-old slugger blasted a 1-1 slider from Tyler Kinley for a 450-foot (109.2 mph EV) two-run blast in the seventh inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 8-1. He also singled in the ninth inning, finishing the night 2-for-5. For the season, Keith has struggled to a .215/.348/.366 slash line to go with four homers and 11 RBI.
