Tucker is already up to 18 RBI on the season with the pair of runs driven in. The 28-year-old has enjoyed his first — possibly only — season with the Cubs as seen in a slash of .328/.451/.657 over the first 17 games. He’s going to get a lot of money really soon.

Swanson has really struggled out of the gate this season, so it was nice to see him finally hit the ball well. This was his first three-hit game on the campaign and it raised his batting average by nearly 20 points to finally climb back above the Mendoza Line. He still has plenty of work to do though as one of the more disappointing players in the league to this point.

Boyd rode his changeup to a solid start here. The Pirates packed their lineup with eight right-handed batters against the lefty Boyd and he responded by consistently dotting that changeup. It regularly fell down just below the zone and forced plenty of weak swings on pitches that were out of reach. In all, it earned six swings-and-misses and got him out of a few jams. He now has a 2.70 ERA in what was a solid first month of the season. He’s set for a two-start week coming up against the Giants and Mets.

The move is now official. Flexen has been summoned to join Chicago’s relief mix ahead of Wednesday’s showdown against the division-rival Pirates. The 30-year-old journeyman has an extensive track record of mediocre results at the highest level, but he’s recorded a strong 1.16 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 21/8 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings (five starts) this season in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. He’s a name to watch in deeper mixed leagues over the next few weeks.

Butler put the game away for the A’s with a salami off Shawn Armstrong that turned a 3-1 game into a 7-1 rout. It’s the fifth homer of 2025 for Butler, and his RBI total bumps up from seven to 11 with the bases-clearing bomb. He ends the month with a slash of .258/.324/.432, and those numbers should keep climbing.

Judge’s dominance this season is becoming ridiculous. He tattooed a 426 foot home run in the first inning here against Orioles’ starter Cade Povich and never made an out. Sadly, he was stranded in the on-deck circle in a one run game after Trent Grishman struck out to record the final out in this one. Nevertheless, Judge has registered multiple hits in six of his last eight games and has a jaw-dropping 1.282 OPS through just over a month of play.

Stowers came in with two homers in 27 games, but given that he had 10 barrels already, he was rather unlucky in that regard. He’s now batting .323/.396/.510 in 111 plate appearances, and while we wouldn’t expect him to keep that up, he should remain a perfectly solid outfielder for the Marlins, albeit one who will likely need a platoon partner in the long run.
