Locklear has now started the year 17-for-52 (.327) with one home run, seven RBI and three steals in 13 games. He’s also struck out 15 times and walked five, but he’s continuing to push for a chance to add some juice to this Mariners lineup.

Tellez brought the Mariners to within one run in the sixth, and Seattle later went ahead of Dylan Moore’s double in the eighth. The homer was Tellez’s fifth of the year. Even though he’s batting just .208, he has 18 RBI in 84 plate appearances.

The A’s were able to stack their hits together against Woo; they had four in scoring three runs in the first and three in the two-run fourth. Woo allowed just one hit over the other four frames, and he finished up with six strikeouts and one walk. He’ll take a 3.25 ERA into a home start against the Yankees next week.

Pillar has been battling a lingering back issue the last few weeks and the Rangers are going to give him some extra time off to put the issue to bed. He’ll likely return in a couple weeks to his role as a reserve outfielder.

Stevenson was up with the Phillies for roughly two weeks while Brandon Marsh was on the shelf with a hamstring injury. He’ll head back to the minors to continue serving as emergency organizational outfield depth.
