McLain snapped an 0-for-21 hitless streak with a seventh-inning single and immediately swiped second base for his fourth theft of the season. The 25-year-old speedster has gotten off to an ice-cold start this season, hitting .162 (12-for-74) with four homers and four steals through 20 games. We’re anticipating he’ll turn things around soon simply because he’s way too talented to continue struggling for much longer.

Marte put Cincinnati ahead for good with a 101-mph triple into the left-center field gap that brought Gavin Lux around to score all the way from first base. The 23-year-old former top prospect appears to be putting together a legitimate breakthrough campaign this season, hitting .370 (17-for-46) with three homers, 16 RBI and four steals in 13 games since returning to the majors back in mid-April. He’s worthy of a roster spot in all fantasy formats as a five-category impact contributor. He’s showing exactly why he was such a highly-touted prospect prior to last year’s suspension and struggles upon returning from the extended layoff.

Pagán was summoned to protect a two-run lead and needed just seven pitches (six strikes to slam the door, coaxing a ground out from Willson Contreras before getting Brendan Donovan and Nolan Arenado to fly out harmlessly. The 33-year-old righty has converted eight of nine save opportunities this season to go along with a 2.51 ERA, 0.49 WHIP and 14/2 K/BB ratio across 14 1/3 innings. He’s just two saves behind Robert Suarez and Andrés Muñoz for the big-league lead and is shaping up to be one of the most impactful waiver wire finds this season for fantasy purposes.

Edman came up big for the Dodgers with a two-run single in the bottom of the 10th that turned a 6-5 deficit into a victory. Edman has now driven in 21 runs in 28 games, and that hit sees him slashing .248/.288/.514 on the young campaign. Edman’s average leaves much to be desire, but he’s made up for it with the power and run production.

The triple should have been a single, but Alex Call made a flailing dive at it and watched it roll by him. McNeil’s homer was more impressive, traveling a projected 420 feet to right-center. Barring a correction, that’s the farthest he’s hit a ball since 2019. He topped out at 402 feet last year and 400 feet in 2023.

Not great. Westburg winds up hitting the shelf after an MRI on Monday revealed a strain. No word yet on how much time he’s going to miss, but fantasy managers should anticipate a multi-week absence, even if it’s on the milder side. The 26-year-old infielder was just starting to settle into a groove at the plate, hitting .310 (9-for-29) with one homer and two RBI over his last seven games. It’ll be veteran Ramón Urías taking over at the hot corner in his absence.
