Mansolino didn’t offer a full report, just that the right-hander continues to through throwing progressions and that there hasn’t been any setbacks. There’s still no timeline for the 23-year-old, but Mansolino reiterated that the Orioles are “hopeful” that the right-hander can pitch in 2025. If it were to happen, Rodriguez’s return would assuredly be in the latter portion of the year, and there’s no guarantee he’d have a role of fantasy significance if/when that occurs.

It’s incredible how much easier of a time Rogers had facing the Red Sox in a spot start last month than he has with Triple-A hitters; he allowed just two hits over 6 1/3 scoreless innings in Boston on May 24, but he’s given up 22 hits in 16 1/3 innings since being sent back down. Overall, he has a 5.46 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP in seven starts for Norfolk.

Carlson finally got the Orioles on the board with a leadoff 408-foot (103.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Tommy Kahnle in the eighth inning. He also singled twice off of Tarik Skubal in the ballgame, tallying three of the O’s four total hits in the contest. On the season, he’s now hitting a respectable .247/.300/.452 with four long balls and 12 RBI in his first 80 plate appearances.

The right-hander racked up eight strikeouts in the ballgame while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball in the fourth inning, with Dillon Dingler swatting a solo homer and Parker Meadows crushing a three-run shot. Kremer got 16 swings and misses on 103 pitches on the evening — 15 of those on his splitter — while registering a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll carry a disappointing 5.01 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 61/21 K/BB ratio (79 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s start against the Rays in Tampa Bay.
