Cabrera was back in the lineup tonight after sitting Tuesday against a righty for the first time this season and then again Wednesday, though that was versus a lefty and was typical. The homer, his first of the year, was hit 382 feet and would have remained in play in 26 ballparks, says Statcast. Still, this pushes him up to .308/.372/.385 for the year. A little hot streak here would be nice, what with DJ LeMahieu close to beginning a rehab assignment.

Judge’s third four-hit game of the year pushed his average back up to .409, and he’s leading the majors with 63 hits through 40 games played. 23 more hits than games played is already a career-high total for him. He had 22 more hits than games played (180 to 158) while batting a career-best .322 last year.

It was his first start since Sept. 28, 2023 and first win as a starter since July 20 of that season. Yarbrough has 54 career wins, but most of them have come as a bulk guy or long reliever. With his velocity up a tad and his strikeout rate also taking a step forward, he should be just fine for however long the Yankees want to start him. However, since the team has off days Thursday and the following Monday, he’ll probably pitch in relief next time through.

Rice’s homer off Mitch Spence made it a 10-1 game in the fifth. It was his first homer since he hit two on Apr. 29 and ninth overall. He’s been losing the occasional start because of the desire to include Trent Grisham in the Yankees lineup, but he should retain mixed-league value at least until Giancarlo Stanton returns.

Lee moved over to shortstop for Sunday’s with Carlos Correa scratched from the lineup. The 24-year-old infielder was a big part of the Twins’ comeback victory against the Giants on Sunday. Lee’s two-run home run in the fourth inning cut the Twins deficit to 3-2 and he scored the winning run in extra innings. Lee is hitting .253 with nine RBI and a .703 OPS on the season.

Hayes has had a solid month, going 24-for-79 (.304) with hits in 17 of 20 games since April 19th. He hasn’t been hitting for any power and has scored only one run in that span despite hitting mostly leadoff for the Pirates, so therein lies the issue with his fantasy value. Still, that batting average and four steals on the season can be worthwhile in deeper formats.

Jung took a fifth-inning pitch from Beau Brieske and hit it 392 feet at 107.4 mph for his fifth home run of the season. He also struck out twice, which has been a bit of an issue for him, and the 27-year-old is just 7-for-35 (.200) so far in May. With Jake Burger rumored to be on his way back to the big leagues, Jung will need to keep hitting to prevent himself from losing some starts to Josh Smith.
