Dunning rejoins the Rangers’ relief mix just a couple weeks after being jettisoned from the club’s 40-man roster altogether. The 30-year-old righty failed to make Texas’ season-opening roster, but he’ll get another look in long relief after posting a pedestrian 5.40 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 21/9 K/BB ratio across 20 innings (five starts) for Triple-A Round Rock in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. He can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

Heim got the Rangers on the board with an RBI single in the sixth, but it was the last run Texas would score against JP Sears and the Athletics’ bullpen. Heim has enjoyed a solid first month of the 2025 campaign with a slash os .261/.301/.464, but he’s only driven in nine runs over his 21 games.

Corbin took a 1-0 lead into the fifth, but he gave up a two-run double to Tyler Soderstrom that cost him the shutout and the victory. It was still a decent outing for the 35-year-old, something that hasn’t been applicable to many of his starts over the last few years. Corbin is scheduled to get the red-hot Seattle offense at home Saturday.

After Dustin May left the game, Myers came on to hit for Matt Mervis off southpaw Anthony Banda, and he slaughtered a ball over the center-field fence to turn a 5-1 deficit into a 5-5 game. He also singled, and he improved his slash to a strong — and totally unsustainable — .315/.327/.463. He does appear to see the ball pretty well against southpaws, however.

Carlson should get a chance to play on a semi-regular basis over the next week or two with Tyler O’Neill hitting the injured list with a neck issue. The 26-year-old former top prospect can be ignored in most fantasy formats, especially with O’Neill only expected to require a minimum stint on the shelf.

Given his strong defense and nice run offensively with the Braves last season, Laureano should have gotten better offers over the winter. He settled for a true bench gig with the Orioles in February, and he was off to a weak 2-for-17 start before homering off Hunter Greene and Carson Spiers today. It looks like Kjerstad is just day-to-day, so Laureano’s role probably won’t be expanded beyond these next few games.
