Adael Amador

Rockies recalled 2B Adael Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Amador provides the injury-depleted Rockies with some extra infield depth ahead of Sunday’s series finale against the Padres. The 22-year-old got into 10 games last year for Colorado and offers some power/speed combo intrigue for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. He possesses robust contact skills, which should translate well to hitter-friendly Coors Field, a place that often boosts batting averages more than anything else. If he’s able to carve out an everyday role, Amador’s combination of fantasy-relevant skills will make him an impact contributor.

Hunter Goodman

Hunter Goodman homered, tripled, doubled and drove in five runs as the Rockies bounced back to defeat the Padres 9-3 on Sunday.
A nice send off for Bud Black, who was let go after the game. Goodman’s homer was his first since Apr. 28, and the triple was his first since 2023. The double, though, might have been the most interesting of his hits. His line drive on Wandy Peralta left the bat at 116.2 mph, a new career high for him by 1.5 mph. It seems like a good sign for his future. However, with six road games coming up, this isn’t the time to pick up Goodman in fantasy leagues.
Germán Márquez

Germán Márquez pitched seven innings of one-run ball to defeat the Padres and pick up his first victory of the season Sunday.
Márquez was 0-6 with a 9.90 ERA before turning back the clock today. He finished with just two strikeouts and five whiffs, but the Padres managed only three hits off him. It’s probably not a performance he’s going to repeat going forward. He’ll face the Diamondbacks next.
Bradley Blalock

Bradley Blalock allowed 12 runs on 13 hits in a 21-0 loss for the Rockies on Saturday to the Rockies.
The Rockies are embarrassing. Blalock was absolutely shelled from the start, as he gave up five runs in the first inning. He allowed one each in the second and third and then was charged for another five in the fourth. That gives Blalock a deserved 12.94 ERA, and the Diamondbacks should be licking their chops for when they face him next weekend.

Dylan Moore

Dylan Moore went 1-for-3 and swatted a solo home run on Sunday, accounting for all of the Mariners’ offense in a loss to the Blue Jays.
The versatile 32-year-old victimized Blue Jays’ starter José Ureña for a 403-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot to lead off the third inning. That would be the only run that the Mariners could muster in the ballgame. Moore has been terrific when he has been on the field for the M’s this season, slashing a healthy .282/.330/.553 to go along with seven homers, 12 RBI and seven stolen bases (11 attempts). He’s worth a look in any and all mixed leagues where he may still be hanging around on the waiver wire.
Tommy Edman

Cubs signed RHP Tommy Romero to a minor league contract.
Romero was a highly-touted pitching prospect a couple years ago in the Rays’ system, but didn’t have any success at the highest level. The 27-year-old righty last appeared in the majors back in 2022 when he made four appearances (two starts) between the Rays and Nationals. He’s merely extra organizational starting pitching depth and a true reclamation project at this stage of his career.

Ketel Marte is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Dogers.
Arizona continues to give Marte regular rest after returning earlier this month from the injured list without a rehab assignment. The 31-year-old fantasy star blasted two homers during Friday’s loss to the Dodgers and has gone deep three times in his last three contests. It’ll be rookie Tim Tawa getting into the lineup at second base on Sunday afternoon.
