Ohtani’s steal was the seventh of the season. The three walks bring his season total to 18, and his on-base percentage is a strong .392 over the first 28 games of 2025. Ohtani has now reached at least three times in three consecutive games, but it’s worth noting he hasn’t gone deep since April 16.

Hernández continues to be a tremendous source of power, and his two-run homer off Edward Cabrera extended the Dodgers’ lead to 5-0 . It also gives him roundtrippers in three straight games, and he’s up to nine long balls on the 2025 season. He’s currently on pace to hit over 50 homers, and while that’s not likely, it’s certainly possible he breaks his career high of 33 based on what he’s shown thus far.

Edman came up big for the Dodgers with a two-run single in the bottom of the 10th that turned a 6-5 deficit into a victory. Edman has now driven in 21 runs in 28 games, and that hit sees him slashing .248/.288/.514 on the young campaign. Edman’s average leaves much to be desire, but he’s made up for it with the power and run production.

May blanked the Marlins over five innings, but then was charged for three runs in the sixth; two of those coming on a grand slam after he had left the contest. It’s a shaky result, but a better outing than his 10-hit disaster against the Cubs last Tuesday. Still, May’s ERA has jumped from 1.06 to 3.95 over his last two chances, and he’ll try and get back on track in a rematch with the Marlins in Miami next week.

O’Hearn’s third-inning blast against Yankees starter Will Warren gave Baltimore a commanding three-run advantage, which they wouldn’t relinquish. The 31-year-old slugger has gone deep five times this season and is hitting .300 (21-for-70) through 21 games.
