Soderstrom has been outstanding to begin 2025, and on top of the three-hit day, the 23-year-old also stole his first base of the year. Don’t expect many more of those, but if he keeps hitting .310/.369/.620, it won’t matter. That’s not likely to happen, but there’s a reason Soderstrom was considered a top 50 prospect in baseball not long ago.

Wilson’s power showing over spring training have carried over into the regular season, and while there’s a long way to go, it’s a big boost to fantasy player’s confidence. It should be, anyway. The 23-year-old isn’t draw ing many free passes, but a .347/.354/.500 slash is awfully hard to complain about. Wilson will see some regression in the power numbers, but the bat-to-ball skills will always make him a threat for a high average.

Mason Miller: Human? Miller allowed his first two runs of the season when he gave up a two-run blast to Brooks Baldwin, of all hitters. He was able to settle down after to procure the save for the eighth time in 2025. A 2.00 ERA is a very solid number, but it’s not indicative of just how dominant Miller has been in 2025.

Severino was able to strike out seven against the lowly White Sox lineup, and he scattered six hits with a pair of walks. It’s another effective outing for the 31-year-old, and it’s nice to see some strikeouts after he fanned just one over eight innings against the Brewers in his previous outing. Severino has a relatively-solid 3.49 ERA for his trouble in 2025, and he’ll be back on the bump against the Rangers next week.

It was the only hit of the game for Walker, but if you’re only going to get one hit, you might as well make it a homer. Walker has gone deep four times in his first year with the Astros, but is still slashing an ugly .192/.273/.354 over the first 27 games of the campaign. Those numbers will improve, but there’s no denying the first sixth of the season has been a disappointing one for the veteran first baseman.

It’s a well-deserved breather for the 37-year-old first baseman who is hitting .369/.421/.476 with only one homer, 10 RBI and one stolen base through his first 27 games with the Bombers. Ben Rice will draw the start at first base and will bat second against Blue Jays’ right-hander Chris Bassitt on Sunday evening.
