Wyatt Langford (oblique) is likely to be activated for Sunday’s series finale against the Dodgers.

MLB.com’s Kennedi Landry reports that Langford rejoined the Rangers at Globe Life Field on Saturday after wrapping up a minor league rehab assignment, but told media members he won’t be activated until Sunday’s series finale against the Dodgers. The 23-year-old rising star, who is hitting .244/.333/.561 with four homers and two steals in 12 games this season, has been on the shelf since April 9 recovering from a right oblique strain.

    Recap

Josh Jung went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-1 win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Jung took a fifth-inning pitch from Beau Brieske and hit it 392 feet at 107.4 mph for his fifth home run of the season. He also struck out twice, which has been a bit of an issue for him, and the 27-year-old is just 7-for-35 (.200) so far in May. With Jake Burger rumored to be on his way back to the big leagues, Jung will need to keep hitting to prevent himself from losing some starts to Josh Smith.

    Evan Carter

    Recap

Evan Carter went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Carter is now 6-for-21 (.273) since being promoted, with one home run and one stolen base. He has just one extra-base hit and has been sitting against lefties, but it’s a solid start for the 22-year-old, who has enough upside to be scooped up in most formats

    Nathan Eovaldi

    Recap

Nathan Eovaldi threw seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.

The veteran struck out seven and walked one, while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW on the day. Eovaldi’s curveball was the star of the afternoon, with a 56 percent whiff rate and 42 percent CSW. The Tigers never really threatened him on the day, and he should be fired up in all leagues against the Astros next week.

    Recap

Taylor Ward went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Sunday as the Angels dropped the finale of their three-game set against the Orioles.

Ward atoned for his defensive miscue in the top half of the first inning by smacking a run-scoring double off of Zach Eflin that tied the game at 1-1. He then came around to score on an RBI single off the bat of Logan O’Hoppe. Even with the two-hit attack though, Ward is slashing a miserable .182/.226/.385 on the season to go with eight homers and 17 RBI.

Andrew Kittredge (knee) fired a scoreless inning in his latest minor league rehab outing at Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

The 35-year-old right-hander threw nine pitches in the outing, all of them strikes, while allowing a pair of hits and striking out a batter. That was his third appearances on his minor league rehab assignment. There has been no clear timeline on how many outings he’ll require before he’s ready to join the Orioles’ bullpen, but it sounds like he’s getting close.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said following Sunday’s loss to the Mets that Ian Happ (oblique) will continue leading off when he returns to the lineup.

Happ played catch and was able to take swings prior to sitting out Sunday’s game against the Mets, so it appears there’s a chance he’ll be ready for Monday’s series opener against the Marlins. Emerging fantasy star Pete Crow-Armstrong went 1-for-4 with solo homer on Sunday in his second straight appearance in the leadoff spot with Happ out of the lineup.
