The Knicks will play Wednesday’s game without one starter, not two. Towns’ absence pushes Ariel Hukporti into the starting lineup. The rookie can be a solid rebounder and shot-blocker, but he offers limited fantasy upside. As for Anunoby, he has struggled recently but will figure prominently in the offensive attack, especially with Towns out.

With Karl Anthony-Towns scoring just 10 points in a subpar effort in Game 6, Anunoby was one of the Knicks who stepped up to provide offense. While both teams were desperate for scoring, Anunoby’s four three-pointers were crucial for the Knicks. The 27-year-old small forward is a true two-way player, and his impact was also felt on the defensive end with two blocks and three steals. Anunoby will continue to be counted on heavily in the Knicks’ upcoming second-round series against the Celtics.

Bridges’ three-point shooting struggles continued Thursday as he went 1-of-4 from behind the arc, but his 25 points were critical for a Knicks team desperate for scoring from anyone not named Jalen Brunson. Bridges was 10-of-12 on two-point field goals and none was bigger than his game-tying left-handed tip-in with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter. The Knicks are going to need more consistent offensive performances from Bridges if they’re going to have any chance of getting past the Celtics in round two.

Brunson put the Knicks on his back as he closed out the Pistons on the road in Game 6. The 28-year-old point guard turned in his eighth career 40-point game in playoffs. Brunson leads the playoffs in points, 30-point games and points in the fourth quarter. With the shot clock off in a tie game at the end of the fourth quarter, Brunson shook free from Ausar Thompson and drained a three, his third of the game, to give the Knicks the lead with under five seconds left. It was a pivotal victory for the Knicks as New York will now have a few days off before beginning their second-round series with the Celtics.

Carter reached double digits in rebounds in four of the five games, recording two double-doubles. While he certainly wasn’t elite, the Magic center had a decent finish to his fourth full season with the franchise. Appearing in 68 regular-season games, Carter’s scoring output decreased, but he was more productive in rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots. Unfortunately, the starting role has not made WCJ a significant fantasy asset, as he finished the season ranked outside the top-175 in category leagues and outside the top-150 in points leagues. With three guaranteed seasons remaining on his contract, Carter will likely go into training camp locked into the starting center role.

Turner tallied at least 20 points for the second time in as many games as the Pacers finished off the Bucks. The sharp-shooting center came up big on the offensive end and finished as Indiana’s second-leading scorer for the game, falling just one rebound shy of a double-double. Turner failed to record a block or a steal but will have another chance to fill up the stat sheet when Indiana heads to Cleveland for a second-round battle with the Cavaliers.

What started off as a disappointing season for Adebayo eventually turned into a strong one for him, but it wasn’t enough to change Miami’s fortunes in the postseason. Nothing changes for him entering next season. He’s still the franchise cornerstone, along with Tyler Herro. Adebayo’s production improved after the Jimmy Butler trade, which will hopefully translate into a big 2025-26 season for him, though it may depend on what moves the Heat make this season. Regardless, Adebayo should at least be considered a top-50 player entering next season and has the potential for more.
