After scoring eight points in New York’s series-opening victory, Bridges totaled 39 in Games 2 and 3. He did a bit of everything on Thursday, recording a complete stat line while shooting over 50 percent from the field. With the Knicks looking to give Jalen Brunson the occasional respite while on the court, Bridges has done a little more in the way of playmaking in this series. That has not resulted in an explosion in the assist category, but it has ensured that Bridges remains involved offensively. Game 4 is on Sunday afternoon in Detroit.

KAT made the most important bucket of the night from long distance to give the Knicks a 94-93 lead in the fourth quarter. The star big man has bounced back in a big way after scoring just 10 points in Game 2. He’s on fire from beyond the arc, hitting nine of his last 14 attempts over the past two games, and will look to continue stretching the floor with his sharpshooting in Game 5.

Brunson had an injury scare in the third quarter but was crucial in the final frame as his team secured a comeback victory. The star point guard scored 15 points in the fourth quarter to help New York edge out Detroit in a low-scoring contest. He’s scored at least 30 points in every game of the first-round series despite struggling through the ankle at times. He’ll look to carry the load again for the Knicks in Game 5.

Thompson dealt with some foul trouble in the first half, but he was able to turn things around after the break. He was able to turn in decent numbers, but Thompson’s first postseason hasn’t been as expected. Through four games, he has averaged 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 45.5 percent from the floor. He has also contributed just 1.3 defensive stats per game after averaging 2.6 per game during the regular season. The Rockets will need him to be much better to keep their season alive in Game 5 on Wednesday.

This was the first postseason series of Jerome’s career, and it couldn’t have gone much better. He’s still never lost a playoff game, and he averaged 16.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.5 triples per game in this series. Jerome will continue to provide them with excellent depth, though if Darius Garland (toe) is back from Game 1 of the second round, Jerome may not be as productive, since he will likely lose out on minutes.
