Tyrese Martin
BKN • Forward • #13
Tyrese Maxey logged 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks, finishing with 20 points (8-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two three-pointers.
Martin was allowed to start Sunday’s season finale, his 11th of the season, and the former second-round pick played well. He recorded his second 20-point game in five appearances, and the rebounding production was also encouraging. Martin’s contract for next season is non-guaranteed, making it a fool’s errand to project what value he will provide to fantasy managers. And with the Nets having four first-round picks this summer, Martin’s path to a guaranteed contract will remain challenging.

Nic Claxton

Nic Claxton tallied 12 points (5-of-6 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs) and two rebounds in 22 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Knicks.
After a disappointing start to the season, Claxton was able to redeem himself steadily. The Nets center finished as a seventh-round player in free-throw punt builds, which is only one round worse than his Yahoo! ADP. That said, Claxton’s rebounding and blocked shot production decreased, with the averages of 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks being the lowest for him since the 2021-22 campaign. He’ll remain a key building block for the Nets next season, but the team is undoubtedly hoping that he’ll be more effective on the glass and as a defender.

Tyrese Martin, Keon Johnson, Jalen Wilson, Trendon Watford and Nic Claxton will start Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Claxton is back after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. While Precious Achiuwa should be a good matchup for him, fantasy managers in active leagues should assume Claxton will not log starters’ minutes in the regular-season finale. Johnson, Watford and Wilson offer decent fantasy ceilings for Sunday’s loaded schedule.

Ziaire Williams (knee) and Reece Beekman (calf) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Jalen Wilson will likely notch another start with Williams out of commission. Tyson Etienne is the prime candidate to fill in as the Nets’ starting point guard.

Nikola Jovic led the Heat with 24 points (8-of-15 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers in Game 4 against the Cavaliers on Monday.
There usually aren’t many positives from a 55-point loss that ends your season, but Jovic’s performance was an encouraging one. He led both teams in scoring, though Cleveland pulling its starters early certainly helped with that. Jovic will turn 22 in June and certainly is one of the bright spots for Miami moving forward. Considering Jovic only returned for the playoffs after being sidelined since February, this type of performance was great to see. He started off last season as a starter and certainly could be in that role again to start next year.
Andrew Wiggins

Andrew Wiggins finished with 12 points (5-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in Game 4 against the Cavaliers on Monday.
Wiggins started off this game poorly and entered halftime without any points. He was better after the break, but the damage was already done at that point. This was a poor series for Wiggins to close out a strange year for him. He started off the season with Golden State but was sent to Miami as part of the Jimmy Butler deal. Wiggins is under contract for two more seasons, and unless he is used to match salaries, he will likely remain with the Heat, unless he chooses to opt out after next season.

Michael Porter Jr. (shoulder) is probable to play in Game 5 against the Clippers on Tuesday.
MPJ is still dealing with the left shoulder injury that he suffered in Game 2, but it isn’t expected to impact his availability on Tuesday. He played 42 minutes in Game 4 and scored 17 points with four three-pointers. Expect him to continue to play significant minutes.
