Butler, who exited Tuesday’s game during the first half, was officially ruled out between the third and fourth quarters. Also, the Warriors describe his injury as a sore right knee rather than a sprained right ankle. With Stephen Curry (quad) already out, the Warriors may have to navigate their upcoming games without their top two scorers.

Butler sprained his ankle during the first half of Tuesday’s game, and he was not on the bench to begin the third quarter. While the Warriors have managed to trim the deficit in his absence, it’s possible that Butler’s night is done. Gary Payton II started the third quarter in his place.

Butler will be able to suit up despite taking a hard fall during Saturday’s game. He had 24 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists in that game, and he’ll continue to play a large role on offense for the Warriors with Stephen Curry (quad) still sidelined.

Butler fell hard on his left side during Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, resulting in a glute contusion that could keep him out of Tuesday’s game. With Stephen Curry (quad) already out, losing Butler would put the Warriors in a tough spot offensively. Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody, who are already starting, would become more valuable to fantasy managers. Also, Butler not playing could push Jonathan Kuminga back into the starting lineup.

With Stephen Curry (quad) out, the Warriors needed more from Butler, and he rose to the challenge. The veteran forward finished two rebounds shy of a triple-double, recording his line with solid percentages from the field and the foul line. The lone concern regarding Butler’s Saturday night is the hard fall he took during the second quarter. Undercut by Pelicans wing Micah Peavy, Butler landed directly on his left hip. While he remained in the game and played 37 minutes, that’s something to be mindful of ahead of the Warriors’ Week 7 opener against the Thunder on Tuesday.

Despite making just six shots, Butler finished Wednesday’s game as the Warriors’ leading scorer. Free-throw production was a key part of his success, complementing his efficient shooting inside and outside the arc. The veteran forward also found production as a facilitator, and his zero turnovers made his facilitating even more impressive. Butler has been a productive player in his first full season with Golden State, and that should continue moving forward.

With Draymond Green (foot) sidelined, Butler filled every gap on the floor, piling up a stat line as hearty as a Thanksgiving plate. The 36-year-old veteran has been phenomenal this season, delivering second-round value from a fantasy standpoint, averaging 19.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals through 17 games.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Heat, Butler recorded a solid stat line against the Trail Blazers. Availability has been a concern in the past, but the only two games he’s missed this season have been part of back-to-backs. Butler’s return meant that Gui Santos was bumped to the bench, and he received a DNP-CD. Golden State won’t play another back-to-back until the end of Week 7, so Butler managers should be able to get in a solid run of games.

Butler is back after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Heat. With Draymond Green and Stephen Curry also available, the Warriors will have their three best players on the floor for Friday’s NBA Cup matchup. Gui Santos will head to the bench since Butler is good to go.

Butler, who did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Heat, is on track to play Friday night. Gui Santos entered the starting lineup in Butler’s absence, and he isn’t guaranteed to remain in the rotation if the Warriors are close to full strength. There’s no need to hold onto Santos if you were streaming him.

Butler is just one of multiple Warriors starters that will miss Wednesday’s game against the Heat. The 36-year-old small forward is dealing with a back injury. Brandin Podziemski, Gary Payton II and Will Richard should see additional minutes in Butler’s absence.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr isn’t shying away from potentially sitting out most of his starters in this game. Butler still has a chance to play in what would be his second game in Miami since being traded to Golden State, but it feels unlikely. Brandin Podziemski, Will Richard and Gary Payton II should take one extra minutes.

Butler’s previous season-high of 31 points came in the season-opening win over the Lakers. Since then, this is the only time he has eclipsed the 30-point mark. Butler is certainly capable of pouring in the points on any given night, but he doesn’t always get the opportunity to. He’s having another strong year, and his availability to this point has made him one of the best values in fantasy basketball thus far.

Golden State scored 44 points in the first quarter and maintained control for most of the night, handling the struggling Pelicans with relative ease. Butler was one of two starters to play more than 30 minutes on Sunday, and all that his final stat line lacked was a blocked shot. The six turnovers were a negative, but Butler has been excellent more often than not thus far. As long as he’s available, fantasy managers should continue to receive value that exceeds Butler’s Yahoo! ADP of 50. The Warriors play three games during Week 5.

Butler was able to supplement Stephen Curry’s 49 points with enough offense for the Warriors to escape with a win. Butler scored at least 20 points for a second straight game, but he wasn’t able to replicate his five three-pointers from Wednesday’s game against the Spurs. They’ll leave San Antonio with back-to-back wins, and Butler was solid in both.

Butler played a major role in Golden State’s comeback win over San Antonio. He used accurate shooting, high three-point production, and good volume at the free-throw line to nearly reach the 30-point mark. In addition to his scoring, Butler made plays on the defensive end and also set the table for his teammates. Overall, he tallied a very balanced performance to help the Warriors get their second road win of the season.

The Warriors were once again without Stephen Curry, who missed a third straight game due to illness. With Jonathan Kuminga (5/8/2) and Draymond Green (3/2/3 with one three-pointer) shooting a combined 2-of-12 from the field, it was Butler and some of the Warriors’ unheralded options who blew Sunday’s game wide open in the fourth quarter. Butler has only missed one of Golden State’s first 10 games thus far, and he’s providing fourth-round value in nine-cat formats. The Warriors play four road games in Week 4, starting with a Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back against the Thunder and Spurs.

In his first game back from a back injury, Butler logged 31 minutes in the blowout loss and finished as one of the Warriors’ top scorers. He was efficient from the field and landed his usual production from the free-throw line. Yet, the veteran forward made little impact elsewhere as far as the stat sheet is concerned. The good news, however, is that Butler appears to have made it out of Friday’s contest without a new or reaggravated injury.

Butler’s availability on Friday is big for the Warriors, who will face a Nuggets team looking to avenge an early-season loss. The veteran forward is averaging 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists through eight games this season and will re-enter the starting lineup on Friday, after missing his first game of the season on Wednesday, to help the Warriors get back on track after having lost three of their last four games.

Butler has been dealing with a lower back injury recently, and he did not return to Tuesday’s game after playing 14 first-half minutes. Moses Moody replaced him in the lineup to begin the second half and may receive the starting nod if Butler can’t play on Wednesday. Having scored 24 points on Tuesday, Moody is worth adding even before a final decision is made on Butler’s status.

Butler, who was not officially cleared to play until less than an hour before tipoff, was ineffective in his 14 first-half minutes and appeared to be laboring at times. He did not come out for the second half and has since been ruled out for the rest of the night. Moses Moody started the third quarter and may retain that role for Wednesday’s game in Sacramento.

This is a new injury for Butler, and his inclusion on the injury report so late in the day doesn’t bode well for his chances of taking the court against Phoenix. If Butler is sidelined, expect more work for the likes of Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield, with Steph Curry shouldering more responsibilities as a scorer.

Butler continues to exceed his Yahoo! ADP, providing top-30 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. His stat line on Saturday included five defensive contributions, the most in a game for him this season. Butler’s current numbers are unquestionably sustainable, with the concern being his availability. Butler has not appeared in 65 or more games in a season since 2018-19. The Warriors will play four games during Week 3, starting with Phoenix on Tuesday.

Butler, who’s scored at least 20 points in five of Golden State’s first six games, recorded his first double-double of the season on Thursday. He’s looked sharp and motivated thus far, which is a good sign for the Warriors and fantasy managers with Butler on their rosters. His Yahoo! ADP of 50 may have been conservative, but with good reason. So far, those who were willing to draft Butler are benefiting from their decision to do so.

Playing their second game in as many nights, the Warriors were able to manage the minutes of their key players due to the nature of Tuesday’s victory. Butler and Draymond Green (7/7/4/3 with one three-pointer) were the only players to hit or exceed 30 minutes, and both were done by about the five-minute mark in the fourth quarter. Through five games, Butler is providing third-round value in nine-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP of 50.

Butler logged his least productive outing of the season thus far in the loss to the Blazers. He set season-lows in points and rebounds, didn’t make a three-pointer for the first time through three games, and only got up seven shot attempts in 27 minutes of game action. Notably, the Warriors were on the second night of a back-to-back after going to overtime against the Nuggets the day before. Regardless, Butler’s final line isn’t one that fantasy managers will likely be celebrating.
