Jović had missed Miami’s last four games, but will rejoin the rotation on Wednesday during the team’s five-game winning streak. He’ll likely come off the bench for the 14th time in 15 appearances to provide the Heat with a bit of a scoring boost. The fourth-year forward has struggled with his shooting efficiency thus far. However, he’s averaging career highs in rebounds and assists. A return to form from beyond the arc would help his fantasy production.

Jović has missed Miami’s last four games with a hip injury, freeing up additional minutes for Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio. However, with Tyler Herro available and Norman Powell (groin) considered probable, all three Heat reserves may lose out on playing time in Wednesday’s NBA Cup matchup. Of the three, Jaquez is the safest option in terms of fantasy value.

Jović is set to miss his fourth consecutive game with a hip injury. Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio should continue to see additional minutes off the bench in his absence against the Mavericks on Monday.

Jović had his hip injury pop up before Wednesday’s game against the Warriors and missed that one as well. He will now sit out one more, and with Andrew Wiggins (hip) also out, that should be more usage and minutes for Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio.

Downgraded from questionable to doubtful earlier Wednesday afternoon, Jović is officially out for the matchup with Golden State. The Heat will have Bam Adebayo (toe) available, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio can also absorb the minutes that would have gone to Jović.

Jović was a late addition to the injury report and was deemed questionable, but he has now been downgraded to doubtful. His expected absence should open up extra minutes for Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio, though the potential return of Bam Adebayo (toe) will have the largest impact of the rotation.

Jović dealt with a hip injury earlier this season, and now he is back on the injury report with one as a late addition. If he is unavailable, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio, who have both already been playing large roles, would likely see even more minutes. However, Bam Adebayo (toe) could be back, and his return would alter the rotation more than Jović’s absence.

Jović nearly recorded a triple-double off the bench against a Portland team that entered the night ranked ninth in defensive rating. He connected on three of seven attempts from beyond the arc and shot 63 percent from the field overall. The 22-year-old hasn’t exactly been a consistent fantasy contributor this season, but performances like this offer glimpses of his all-around upside as he continues to develop. An increase in three-point volume would go a long way toward unlocking his long-term scoring ceiling.

Upgraded from questionable to probable on Thursday afternoon, Jović is officially available to play. He’ll provide additional depth off the bench, while Pelle Larsson continues to fill in for Norman Powell in the starting lineup.

Jovic was initially listed as questionable, but was upgraded on Thursday, which is a good sign for his chances to get on the court. He’s averaging 24.3 minutes per game this season and providing decent production off the Heat bench. He should continue to fill that role in a tough matchup inside against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs.

Jovic pops up on the injury report after playing 22 minutes off the bench in Miami’s last game. He has been solid thus far, but if he were to miss this game, Simone Fontecchio, who has also gotten off to a strong start this season, would take on a larger role off the bench.

Jovic followed his nice start to the preseason on Saturday with another strong outing on Monday. Although he failed to put up big scoring numbers, the versatile forward flashed his abilities as a rebounder, nearing double figures, while recording a team-high in assists. His well-roundedness nearly led him to a preseason triple-double. Jovic has started both preseason games thus far — if he can retain his starting position, the fourth-year forward has the potential to improve on a solid third NBA season.

Erik Spoelstra didn’t use his starters for long in this game, but Jovic was able to make a quick impact. Jovic, who got the starting nod over Kel’el Ware, could be in for a breakout season if he maintains that role. Ware contributed 10 points and nine rebounds off the bench, so the starting job will be an interesting storyline to watch throughout the preseason.

Jaquez got the start in place of Tyler Herro (ankle), but Jovic starting instead of Kel’el Ware may be more notable. Jovic has the opportunity to have a breakout season, and if he maintains a spot in the starting lineup, his chances of taking a leap forward will only improve.

Teams have until October 20 to agree to rookie-level extensions, and the Heat have reportedly made an early decision on Jović. Wednesday’s extension locks him in as part of the team’s core for the foreseeable future, despite only appearing in 107 of a possible 246 games since being selected 27th overall in the 2022 draft. He appeared in 46 games last season, starting 10, and finished with averages of 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 25.1 minutes. Jović’s playing time has increased in each of his first three seasons, and his role could expand even more to begin this season with Tyler Herro out due to injury.

While Jović did say he hopes to be a starter, he also acknowledged that he was more productive coming off the bench in 2024-25. In 36 appearances off the bench last season, he averaged 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.8 three-pointers in 26.6 minutes. By comparison, Jović averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 10 starts. Not only was Jović more productive as a reserve than as a starter, but he also played more, averaging 19.7 minutes per game as a starter. The absence of Tyler Herro (foot) to begin the season will free up additional opportunities for multiple players, including Jović, who is extension eligible until October 20. Solidifying himself as a starter could also impact his career financially, as was the case for Herro before he inked a rookie extension worth $120 million over four years in 2023.

It was an up-and-down EuroBasket from Jovic, but he ended things on a high note, even if it was an early-than-expected loss for Serbia. Jovic’s 20 points were a tournament-high for him, which will hopefully help propel him into a big season with Miami. The 2022 first-round pick is an exciting late-round pick with plenty of upside.

Jovic only needed 16 minutes to dominate Estonia in Serbia’s EuroBasket opener. They outscored Estonia by 36 points during Jovic’s short stint on the floor, and he’ll continue to play a critical role for them throughout the tournament. Jovic is set to enter his fourth season with the Heat and could be in for a breakout season.

There usually aren’t many positives from a 55-point loss that ends your season, but Jovic’s performance was an encouraging one. He led both teams in scoring, though Cleveland pulling its starters early certainly helped with that. Jovic will turn 22 in June and certainly is one of the bright spots for Miami moving forward. Considering Jovic only returned for the playoffs after being sidelined since February, this type of performance was great to see. He started off last season as a starter and certainly could be in that role again to start next year.

Both players were upgraded to probable Friday afternoon and have officially been cleared to suit up. Jovic has been out since February 23, while Larsson was made available to play against the Bulls on Tuesday but didn’t see the floor. It’s unclear how much either player will play, but they will both be available if needed.

Jovic has been out since February 23, and Larsson hasn’t played since April 7. Both players are expected to take the court for Miami’s win-or-go-home matchup with Atlanta. With most of Miami’s roster available, Larsson is unlikely to play many minutes. Jovic may see some court time, but he could be on a minutes restriction after such a long layoff.

Jovic and Love have been out for extended periods, with the former last playing on February 23 while the latter did not play in 19 of Miami’s last 20 regular-season games. Due to the time missed, their absences will not impact the Heat rotation as the team looks to keep its season alive in Chicago.

Jovic is progressing in his recovery from a fractured second metacarpal in his right hand, and the Heat announced on Tuesday that he’s been cleared to resume on-court activities. However, he still lacks a timeline for a return to game action. As a result, fantasy managers should not count on him to provide value before their seasons conclude.
