Weston Wilson belted a solo home run on Thursday afternoon, powering the Mariners to a 1-0 victory over the Yankees in New York.

Wilson connected on a 2-2 cutter from Max Fried in the second inning, clubbing a 396-foot (104.1-mph EV) solo shot that gave the M’s an early 1-0 lead. That would be the extent of the scoring for both teams in the ballgame. Wilson finished the afternoon 1-for-2 plus a walk and is now hitting .204/.297/.357 with four homers and 11 RBI in 111 plate appearances at the MLB level this season.
