A second opinion on Friday confirmed that surgery would be required to repair the issue. The Brewers are optimistic that he’ll still be able to return at some point before the 2025 season comes to a close, but a clear timeline won’t be known until after he undergoes the procedure.

It appears to be just a routine day off for the 27-year-old outfielder. Jake Bauers will start in his place in left field and will bat seventh for the Brewers against Antonio Senzatela and the Rockies on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee.

Turang got the Brew Crew on the board with a two-run single in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old has hit for very little power as seen in his .370 slugging percentage, but a .283 average and 16 stolen bases has made him more asset than detriment from a fantasy perspective over the first 82 games for Milwaukee.

Chourio went the opposite way off Kyle Freeland with a couple runners on to give the Brew Crew a 4-0 lead. He also drove in a run on a fielder’s choice. The 21-year-old has gone deep 13 times at just-over the halfway point, and he’s plated 50 now. Chourio’s approach needs a lot of work, but he has the talent to be one of the best outfielders in the sport someday. This version isn’t so bad, to be fair.

Buxton has been eliminated from the fan vote, but it’d be nuts if he’s not an All-Star for the second time next month. He’s up to 19 homers and 51 RBI, which are both tied for the second-highest totals of his career; he had 28 homers in 92 games in 2022 and 56 RBI in 102 games last season. He also stole his 15th base today, which stands alone as his second-highest total behind the 29 he had in his one relatively full season in 2017. He’s currently third in the AL and seventh in the majors with a .927 OPS.

The Phillies are starting a tough left-hander in Jesus Luzardo on Saturday night, so it makes sense why the Braves would want to get Harris a breather. The 24-year-old outfielder has been one of the biggest disappointments in baseball this season, slashing a dreadful .212/.238/.320 with six homers, 43 RBI, 11 stolen bases and a 68/10 K/BB ratio over his first 326 plate appearances. Eli White will man center field in his absence on Saturday.

With the Tigers’ lineup finally healthy for the most part, you’re going to start seeing more days off for regulars in the lineup as manager A.J. Hinch attempts to work everybody in. Meadows has struggled since his return from the injured list, slashing a disappointing .181/.263/.319 with a pair of homers, seven RBI and two stolen bases in 80 plate appearances. Matt Vierling will start in Meadows’ place in center field on Saturday.
