The switch-hitting Seigler, 26, will be making his major league debut after hitting .277/.416/.465 with seven homers and 20 steals for Nashville. Since Caleb Durbin is hitting much better lately and William Contreras rarely comes out of the lineup, Seigler’s role figures to be fairly limited, at least initially. Still, he should contribute with his ability to get on base against righties. Worthy of note is that even though he is a switch-hitter, he ought to be treated as if he were a lefty; he’s hit far, far worse against lefties than righties in his career.

Yoho is one of the more intriguing relief prospects in the fantasy landscape, but he got absolutely lit up earlier this season in a handful of appearances for Milwaukee. The 25-year-old will likely head back to Triple-A Nashville at the conclusion of Wednesday’s twin bill.

Ortiz broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth with his sixth homer of the year. Four of those six have come in his last six games, as he’s raised his OPS from .492 on June 6 and .541 on June 23 to .579 now. Ortiz had been particularly hopeless with the bases loaded prior to today, going just 2-for-25, with both hits being singles, over the course of his career.

Nick Mears and DL Hall finished the two-hitter. Peralta struck out six and walked one. Eight of the 14 balls in play against him were hard hit, but those produced just one single, a 112-mph laser off the bat of Pete Alonso. The only other hit came on a soft grounder from Luis Torrens. Peralta improved to 9-4 with a 2.91 ERA, and he’s a candidate to make the NL All-Star team for the second time in his career. He’ll face the Dodgers next week.
