Povich was shut down a couple weeks ago with renewed hip soreness, so it qualifies as an encouraging update that he’s ready to get back into game action again. The 25-year-old southpaw should be an option for Baltimore’s rotation at some point in late July or early August.

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino told reporters Eflin will kick off his rehab assignment this weekend and continue throwing next week. There’s optimism he’ll be ready to return to Baltimore’s rotation in late July. The 31-year-old righty hit the injured list back in late June with lower back discomfort.
