Heading into the sixth innings, Rodón had a 3-1 lead and had only allowed a solo home run to Jung Hoo Lee. An infield single started the sixth inning, and then after a strikeout, Rodón issued a walk and then allowed another home run to Lee. Rodón would later walk Matt Chapman and get removed from the game. The left-hander is talented but maddeningly inconsistent. He’ll take a 5.48 ERA into a start in Tampa Bay next week. He stacks up as a solid buy-low target in fantasy baseball, but there will be some anxiety that comes from rostering him.

Fried did his part in striking out nine today, but he had no margin for error with the Yankees getting blanked by the Red Sox. It’s the 13th time in his last 14 starts that Fried has allowed two runs or fewer. He’ll face the Orioles on Friday.

Judge had four three-strikeout games this season before these last two series against the Red Sox. He fanned three times once last weekend in Yankee Stadium and did so in all three games in Boston this this weekend. His average is down to .378, which is still incredible but is his lowest mark since Apr. 15.

Stanton has wrapped up a minor league rehab assignment and will make his long-awaited season debut early this upcoming week at Yankee Stadium against Los Angeles. The 35-year-old veteran slugger’s over-the-fence pop makes him a potential cheap power source in deeper mixed leagues.
