Outman gets the call to replace an injured Enrique Hernández (elbow) on the Dodgers’ active roster prior to Monday’s series opener against the Brewers. The 28-year-old center fielder has hit .125 (3-for-24) with two homers in nine games this season at the major-league level.

Yamamoto gave up a double and a walk to start the game, but he rebounded to retire the next two batters on soft contact. After that, though, came a three-run homer, a single, a walk, a Mookie Betts throwing error, and a bloop single. Yamamoto was at 41 pitches at this point, so even though there’s a good chance he would have rebounded, the Dodgers opted to take him out. The brief outing probably assures that he will make another start before the break against the Giants on Sunday, which would mean he’d be ineligible to pitch in the All-Star Game.

It’s official. Glasnow will make his return to Los Angeles’ rotation for the first time since late April. The 31-year-old fantasy ace threw 78 pitches in his final minor league rehab outing last week for Triple-A Oklahoma City so we’re not anticipating any workload limitations. He’ll provide a massive lift for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers, over the final three months of the season. The move pushes Dustin May back to Friday’s series opener against San Francisco and likely means Shohei Ohtani won’t pitch again until after next week’s All-Star break.

The positive news for fantasy managers is that imaging on Sunday didn’t reveal any fractures in Hernández’s left foot and it sounds like he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list. The 32-year-old slugging corner outfielder is dealing with some residual soreness after fouling a ball off his foot over the weekend. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him sit out a few additional games this week in the lead up to next week’s Midsummer Classic. It’ll be Andy Pages sliding over to cover right field with James Outman patrolling center field on Monday night in Milwaukee.

Meyers appears likely to avoid the injured list for now after exiting Sunday’s game against the Dodgers with right calf tightness. The 29-year-old center fielder is day-to-day for now. It’ll be rookie Kenedy Corona taking over in center field in his absence.

Buxton made the announcement on his Instagram page on Monday afternoon. The Georgia native becomes the fourth confirmed participant, joining Braves icon Ronald Acuña Jr., Mariners mashing backstop Cal Raleigh and Nationals burgeoning star James Wood. The 31-year-old center fielder has crushed 20 homers already this season and is on pace to threaten the 40-homer plateau for the first time in his career.

Doyle returns to center field on Monday night in Boston after receiving a three-game mental break to attempt to clear his head and work on adjustments. The 27-year-old outfielder is hitting just .206/.256/.336 with seven homers and nine steals through 76 games this season on the heels of last year’s impressive 23-homer, 30-steal breakthrough campaign.
