The Dodgers have been very vague regarding updates on Gonsolin’s elbow, only saying that his UCL remains intact, but this move indicates that he’s going to miss at least a couple of months while he is recovering. Jack Little was promoted from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, taking Gonsolin’s place on the team’s 40-man roster.

Edman drew a pair of walks as well for a four-reach night. He drove in a run in the ninth with a single, and came around to score on an error from Martin Maldonado. Edman’s slash improved to .256/.299/.463 in the process, and he’s plated 38 runners thus far in 2025.

It’s worth noting that Yamamoto should have had an immaculate inning Thursday, but Marvin Hudson had one of the worst misses you’ll see from a home plate umpire on a pitch down the middle. The right-hander was mostly effective in the outing and pounded the strike zone with 70-of-100 pitches landing, but a quality start went wasted with yet another poor offensive performance with Yamamoto on the mound for the Dodgers. It will be hard for them not to score runs in his next scheduled start against the Rockies in Colorado.

It’s the first trip to the big leagues for the 27-year-old southpaw. Little, a fifth-round draft choice by the Dodgers from the 2019 draft class, has compiled a stellar 2.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and a 33/14 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings at Triple-A Oklahoma City while recording 10 saves. He’ll give Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts another weapon to deploy in the middle or late innings.
