It didn’t look good when Arias got his left leg trapped awkwardly underneath his full body weight while attempting to make a sliding grab to his right at shortstop during the third inning of Sunday afternoon’s contest. There should be an update on the 25-year-old indfielder’s status at some point shortly.

The runs all came on Nolan Gorman’s homer in the first. Allen matched his season high with six strikeouts and completed six innings for the fourth time this season, so it was a solid day overall. He’ll take a 5-6 record and a 4.27 ERA into his next start at home against the Tigers.

It’s an encouraging initial diagnosis after Arias was carted off the field during the third inning of Sunday afternoon’s contest when he left ankle rolled up underneath his body while attempting to make a sliding play to his right. It seems like a virtual lock that he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list, even if the sprain winds up being on the milder end of the spectrum. It’s worth noting that X-rays came back negative for any fractures. There should be some additional clarity on his status at some in the near future.

Ramírez is at third base and batting third for Sunday afternoon’s early-afternoon matinee. The 32-year-old fantasy superstar went 0-for-5 on Saturday in his return to Cleveland’s lineup following a one-game absence due to a forearm contusion. The positive news for fantasy managers is that he managed to avoid serious injury after being hit by a pitch during Thursday’s contest against Toronto and shouldn’t miss any additional time moving forward.

It’s been hard to find anything positive about Albies’ performance this season, but just showing he can still hit a ball 109.9 mph is encouraging. He also had a 101.1-mph groundout today. He hit four balls at least 100 mph in the series against the Phillies after totaling only 26 through his first 80 games.

Donovan homered Saturday, but he’s currently in a 6-for-43 slump, even though he’s struck out just five times during the span. The 0-for-5 left him with a .297 average, putting him under .300 at the end of a game for the first time since Apr. 6.
