Giants optioned OF Daniel Johnson to Triple-A Sacramento.

Johnson winds up losing his roster spot to facilitate the arrival of slugger Rafael Devers onto San Francisco’s active roster for Tuesday’s series opener against the Guardians. The 29-year-old outfielder got into seven games for the Giants after being called up on June 4.
