Hoffman didn’t allow a hit and struck out one batter for his 22nd save of the season. After a brutal month of May, Hoffman has allowed just two earned runs in 13 innings since June 1st while striking out 14 and walking three. We would say he’s righting the ship pretty convincingly.

The 26-year-old infielder landed on the injured list on Sunday after aggravating his left ankle injury during Friday’s game against the Angels. The Jays hope to have an estimate on his timeline after he’s re-evaluated next weekend, it sounds like it could be a while though. Davis Schneider seems to be the largest beneficiary in terms of playing time for the Jays’ while Giménez is sidelined.

The 27-year-old has bounced back really nicely in 2025, making clear changes to his approach at the plate. He’s chasing less and forcing pitchers to attack him in the strike zone. When they do, he’s turning on the ball more than he has in years. That has allowed him to put up 14 home runs and 51 RBI before the All-Star break. Kudos to him for making the adjustments and to the fantasy managers who bought in on the bounceback.

He struck out nine and walked three on the day in what was a relatively inconsistent start. Gausman was able to find the command of his splitter again and registered 12 whiffs on his 37 splitters thrown. However, he continues to struggle to miss bats with his four-seamer, which allowed 16 foul balls, and his slider posted just a 15 percent zone rate. This version of Gausman is fine, and you certainly love the strikeouts, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t nervous about starting him in Sacramento against the Athletics next week.
