The reigning American League Player of the Week will take a seat for precautionary reasons during Tuesday’s series opener with Evan Carter, who has been on a hot streak of his own, bumping up to the leadoff spot. The versatile 27-year-old has been on fire at the dish recently, hitting .356 (21-for-59) with three homers, eight RBI and three stolen bases over his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Duran got the scoring started in the ballgame as he roped a two-out RBI double into right field off of Aaron Civale in the third inning. The versatile 26-year-old also drew a walk in the sixth inning and doubled with two outs in the eighth, but the Rangers were unable to cash him in either time. He has struggled in his limited action overall with the Rangers this season, going 6-for-40 (.150) with zero homers, two RBI and a 13/1 K/BB ratio.
