Arizona is going to give Naylor some extra rest during Sunday’s contest as he continues to battle a lingering neck issue that cropped up during Friday’s game. It’ll be Pavin Smith moving over to cover first base in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day heading into Monday’s series opener against the Giants.

After one of the worst two-start runs of the season took his ERA from 3.90 to 5.65, Miller has leveled off lately, giving up 10 earned runs over 20 innings in his last four starts. Unfortunately, the kind of outings he’s having currently aren’t as likely to lead to wins now as when the D-backs were closer to full strength earlier this season. Pfaadt will face the Giants next.

He hit four balls at least 100 mph in the series against the Phillies after totaling only 26 through his first 80 games.
