Ozuna takes a seat after an 0-for-4 performance out of the sixth spot in Atlanta’s lineup on Saturday left him hitting .159 (18-for-113) with one homer and 32 strikeouts over his last 30 games. He’s just 3-for-24 over his last seven games. The 34-year-old veteran has been playing through a hip tear for most of this season, but has insisted that it isn’t impacting his performance. We’re not convinced. It’ll be rookie sensation Drake Baldwin taking over at DH and batting sixth on Sunday morning in his place.

Murphy had a 106.1 mph double in the seventh inning of the game and then rocked a 411-foot solo home run in the ninth that left the bat at 103.6 mph. The veteran now has 13 home runs and 31 RBI on the season while splitting time with rookie Drake Baldwin. There have been some trade rumors swirling around Murphy, and a new home might be best for his fantasy value. It’s tough to use him if he remains on the short side of a platoon in Atlanta.

Holmes struck out five and walked three, and the only real damage against him was a two-run home run allowed to Jackson Holliday in the third inning. Holmes got plenty of swings and misses today with 17 whiffs on 49 swings for a 35 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. He struggled with his four-seam fastball command, but that’s his worst pitch, so he was able to cover it up with tremendous command of his cutter and plenty of whiffs on his slider. Holmes is on a good roll lately and is worth starting next week against the Cardinals.

Jurickson Profar has been bumped up to the leadoff spot for Sunday morning’s finale against Baltimore. It’s a well-deserved off day for Acuña, who has torn the cover off the ball since returning from the injured list to make his season debut back in late May, hitting .333/.452/.565 with 34 runs scored, nine homers, 18 RBI and four steals through 39 games. The 27-year-old generational talent will start the upcoming Midsummer Classic for the National League in addition to competing in the All-Star Home Run Derby at Truist Park.

Trout started the game with a solo shot off of Kevin Gausman in the first inning, but he went quiet from there. The 33-year-old has 14 home runs and 32 RBI on the season and is coming off a solid month of June in a revitalized Angels lineup. He remains a must-start player in fantasy leagues.

Hays jumped on a fifth-inning pitch from Zack Wheeler and hit it 377 feet at 100.3 mph for the only hit and run of the game for the Reds. Hays now has eight home runs and 31 RBI on the season and has been really solid when healthy for Cincinnati. He deserves to be rostered in most league types at this point.

Bryant told reporters he’ll consult with doctors this week to explore experimental treatment options in an effort to avoid back surgery, which would likely be career-ending. The 33-year-old former NL MVP has been out since early April dealing with lumbar degenerative disease, a chronic condition that will require constant management for the rest of his playing career. At this point, it’s fair to wonder if he’s ever going to play again. We’re hoping that isn’t the case, but he’s not making any sort of progress towards returning this season.
