The Braves are currently 12 games back in the NL East and seven games out of a Wild Card spot, so they face a real uphill climb to get back into the postseason race. If they don’t make up enough ground by the deadline, Feinsand believes Ozuna will be the most attractive rental for Atlanta. However, we also know he’s playing through a tear in his hip, so it’s unclear what kind of return he would net. Feinsand lists the Guardians, Rangers and Tigers as potential trade destinations.

Profar is somehow able to use the minor leagues to prepare for his MLB return despite being suspended for breaking MLB rules. He played the entire game in left field and should be a lock to be activated from the suspension list when he’s eligible on July 2.

Austin Riley’s sac fly won it in the 10th after Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez panicked and threw to the wrong base while automatic runner Luke Williams was a sitting duck on a ball that got away from the catcher hit the umpire and stayed right there for Alvarez to pick up. The game went to extras because of some bad baserunning from the Mets’ stars and Ozuna’s bases-loaded double off Reed Garrett. Ozuna’s production has slowed as he deals with a hip injury, but he has eight RBI in his last four games.

Technically, Reynolds is already out on paternity leave after making an early exit from Tuesday’s game against the Tigers after his wife went into labor with their third child. The 30-year-old outfielder will be away from the club for a couple days with Billy Cook coming up from Triple-A to take his spot on Pittsburgh’s roster.

Stanton, 35, will get a break after playing in his first two games back as the designated hitter. The Yankees will likely give the outfielder some maintenance days throughout the 2025 campaign. He’ll take a seat with Jasson Dominguez operating as the DH and hitting eighth.

Rice will make his first as a catcher in the majors. Assuming this doesn’t become a disaster, there’s a good chance the 26-year-old will get a few more starts behind the plate, and it not only helps his fantasy stock for 2025, but would be a big booster for the 2026 prospectus as well. Austin Wells is getting Wednesday off with Rice behind the plate.
