Robert Hassell III

Nationals optioned OF Robert Hassell III to Triple-A Rochester.

The 23-year-old outfielder struggled in 79 plate appearances with the Nationals, slashing .218/.228/.269 with one homer, eight RBI, one stolen base and a 21/1 K/BB ratio. He’ll return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level until another opportunity arises with the Nationals. Daylen Lile will be recalled from Triple-A on Monday to take his place on the active roster.
