Padres placed OF Jackson Merrill on the 7-day concussion injured list.

Merrill is undergoing further evaluation for a possible concussion after being tagged in the head while attempting to steal second base during the seventh inning of Saturday’s showdown in Arizona. There should be a definitive update on his status at some point in the coming days. There is obviously no timetable for his return at this juncture.
