Moreta, who is coming back from Tommy John, had a 3.07 ERA in 14 2/3 innings for Indianapolis on his rehab assignment, but he walked 12 batters. His velocity is also still down a tad. He’ll probably be back in the Pirates pen before long, but the team wasn’t ready to carry him just yet.

Sullivan was serving as the backup to Henry Davis with Endy Rodríguez and Joey Bart on the IL, but Bart is expected back Tuesday. Sullivan was 1-for-6 with two RBI and a walk during his time with the Pirates.

Horwitz opened the scoring in the top half of the first inning with an RBI single off of right-hander Colin Rea. He also singled with two outs in the sixth inning but the Pirates were unable to cash him in. With his two-hit attack, the 27-year-old first baseman is now hitting .227/.299/.330 with one long ball and seven RBI.

Acuña takes a seat after starting both games of Sunday’s twin bill against the Cardinals, including his first-ever appearance at the hot corner. It’ll be veteran Jeff McNeil taking a turn at the keystone on Monday night. The 23-year-old former top prospect has been an X-factor for the Mets this season, hitting .298 (25-for-84) with eight stolen bases through 30 games. He’s one of the more interesting talents in the fantasy landscape and it feels like only a matter of time before he puts together a significant fantasy campaign.
