Greene’s home run was No. 22 for him on the year. The 24-year-old outfielder crushed a two-run home run off Cade Smith in extra-innings. Greene continues to enjoy a breakout season that has put him in the starting lineup for the American League in the All-Star game. He’s hitting .286 with an .879 OPS and 71 RBI on the season.

The home run was Sweeney’s fifth of the season. The 25-year-old shortstop hit a go-ahead three-run home run in extra-innings off Cade Smith. It was the first home run that came on a fastball in Sweeney’s big league career. Sweeney was recalled from the minor leagues when Kerry Carpenter (hamstring) hit the injured list, but he’s more of a bench option for the Tigers and waiver wire fodder for fantasy managers.

Skubal gave up three hits, walked none and struck out 10. It was another dominant effort for the 28-year-old left-hander as he looks to repeat as the American League Cy Young award winner. Skubal didn’t get the win because the Tigers didn’t score until later in the game, but he lowered his ERA to 2.02 on the year. Skubal is lined up to face the Mariners on the road next weekend.
