That’s a nice result to put up smack dab in the middle of the second round of All-Star balloting. Greene homered off Trevor Williams in the first and Jackson Rutledge in the fourth. It’s his seventh career two-homer game and second game with six RBI. He is batting .298/.348/.555 with 21 homers to date, and he’s now third in the majors with 69 RBI.

Flaherty made a nice recovery from a two-run, 41-pitch first inning and needed only 56 pitches to get his remaining 12 outs. He wound up with 16 missed swings and a nice 36% CSW while matching his season high in strikeouts. It’s been a tough stretch for the right-hander, who had lost each of his last three starts before the no-decision here, but tonight should make those rostering him feel a little better.

Single, walk, single, triple, double. That’s how it went against Kahnle on a rare off night that took his ERA from 1.77 to 3.03. At least the one good thing here is that we know he wasn’t tipping his pitch.

Greene will get a well-deserved breather during Wednesday’s nightcap in Washington D.C. after crushing a pair of three-run homers during the front-end of the twin bill. The 24-year-old has been the primary offensive catalyst this season for the upstart Tigers and figures to make his second straight All-Star Game appearance in a couple weeks.

After a major power lull for the majority of June, Randy is “on one” as the kids to say. He homered for the third-straight game to bring his total to 12 on the season, and then drove in another run on a sac fly. Arozarena isn’t the superstar he looked like he could have been five years ago, but he’s a solid player who provides solid pop and speed. And when he’s at his best? There aren’t many better.

Kepler’s homer off Dylan Cease was his 10th of the season. This is actually just the sixth time all year that he’s driven in two runs in a game, and he’s never knocked in more than that. The Phillies were hoping from more from their free agent signing, but Kepler’s current .685 OPS is basically a match for what he did in 2022 and 2024, with 2023 standing out as his only really positive season in the last five years.

Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young told reporters Langford is expected to be activated for Saturday’s game against the Padres. The 23-year-old outfielder will get in at least a handful of minor league contests after making it through Wednesday’s live batting practice session without any issues.
