The 30-year-old hurler cleared waivers after being designated for assignment on Friday, but rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake, he’ll explore other opportunities on the open market instead. Anderson posted a 7.59 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and a 10/3 K/BB ratio over 10 2/3 innings in six appearances with the Halos.
