It looks to be nothing more than a routine day off for the versatile 30-year-old. Hyeseong Kim will start in his place at second base and will bat eighth for the Dodgers against Royals’ right-hander Seth Lugo on Saturday afternoon in Kansas City.

When asked about his performance, Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts said that Glasnow’s stuff looked fine but that he was too inefficient with his pitches. The team had been hopeful that he would get through four innings in that start, but it took him 66 pitches (37 strikes) to record seven outs. He remains on track to join the Dodgers’ rotation at some point during the month of July.

It sounds like the Dodgers will continue to have Casparius work in a piggyback role with Ohtani while the two-way superstar gets himself stretched out. Ohtani should only be expected to work an inning or two on Saturday, leaving plenty of room in the middle innings for Casparius to pile up strikeouts and potentially secure a victory. As always, he makes for a terrific streaming option for fantasy purposes.

In a game that featured a lot of scoring early, it really calmed down late. That being said, Ohtani put the bookends on a tough night for Royals’ rookie starter Noah Cameron with a lead-off home run and then a triple to chase him from the game in the fifth inning. Ohtani scalded those two batted balls 110.4 mph and 112.4 mph respectively in what was another excellent game for the slugger. While not stealing bases nearly as often compared to his historic 2024 season, Ohtani is currently on pace for just under 60 home runs with a 1.045 OPS while he builds himself up as a pitcher.

Orioles’ manager Tony Mansolino told reporters on Saturday that Westburg wasn’t a candidate to head to the injured list, but that he’ll probably be out a “couple of days”. He also noted that this finger injury isn’t as bad as the one Westburg experienced last time. Either way, fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him to return until early next week.

It’s the first trip to the big leagues for the 25-year-old hurler. Burgos has been absolutely dominant at Triple-A Tacoma this season, posting a 0.64 ERA, 0.61 WHIP and a 29/7 K/BB ratio over 28 innings of work. He has nothing left to prove there, so the M’s will see if he can continue that dominance at the major league level. Zach Pop was designated for assignment in a corresponding move on Saturday.

Turang got the Brew Crew on the board with a two-run single in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old has hit for very little power as seen in his .370 slugging percentage, but a .283 average and 16 stolen bases has made him more asset than detriment from a fantasy perspective over the first 82 games for Milwaukee.
