White Sox claimed 1B/OF Ryan Noda off of waivers from the Red Sox and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Noda had been designated for assignment by the Red Sox earlier in the week. He’ll add extra depth at first base at the Triple-A level after the White Sox moved on from Andrew Vaughn on Friday.
