With Luke Weaver perhaps returning Friday, things might get complicated for the Yankees in the ninth in the coming days. Manager Aaron Boone refused to commit to a closer before the game today. We’re guessing he mostly sticks with Williams, who has a 1.72 ERA and a 23/2 K/BB in 15 2/3 innings since May 7. In spite of his early struggles, Williams is 9-for-10 in save chances this season.

For the first time all season, Grisham had a sub-.800 OPS at the conclusion of Wednesday’s game. He’s back over that mark now, though, having collected his first homer since May 30 and his second since May 12. He’s likely in store for less playing time now that the Yankees have Giancarlo Stanton back, but the team will still want his glove in center field rather frequently.

Rodón gave up three homers, but he allowed just one other hit, walked one and struck out seven in his seventh quality start and ninth win of the year. He’ll make his next start in Cincinnati, which could lead to more homers. There’s no sitting him down in mixed leagues, though.

Both off southpaw Tyler Anderson. Goldschmidt now has a 1.252 OPS against lefties, compared to a .647 mark against righties. The Orioles are throwing all righties this weekend, so it will be interesting to see how many games he starts. Manager Aaron Boone said Goldschmidt will not be platooned, but Goldschmidt was out of the lineup in favor of Ben Rice the last two times the Yankees faced right-handers.
